Hotel Obligado

image

This group of physical theater artists formed at the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater and were brought back to Philly by locals Aaron Cromie and Dawn Falato. They made their debut at the 2001 Fringe and have popped up at various events ever since (including the Barrymores and the Healing Arts Coalition benefit). Now, with STRIP, they present their first full-length show since Fringe. Performed by Matthew Graham Smith and Tim Cunningham (last seen as horses in Mum’s production of Equus), this original one-act focuses on two old friends getting together — along with two gallons of alcohol. Hotel Obligado has started to make a name for its self by clowning around town, but with this week’s performance it makes a leap into edgier fare.

STRIP, Feb. 14-16, $8-$15, Mum Puppettheatre, 115 Arch St., 267-872-6265.
