Soon, PYT will be clogging the arteries of other cities and other Philly neighborhoods with things like the above spaghetti burger — it's becoming a chain and apparently has franchisees already lined up in New York and DC:
PYT signed with Fransmart, a franchise consulting firm whose portfolio includes the Elevation Burger, Freshii, Calexico and CaliBurger chains, among others. Fransmart's Dan Rowe first approached Up over the summer ... It took over six months for Rowe to convince Tommy Up and his people to come aboard with Fransmart, mostly because the PYT team was concerned about the integrity of their brand.
Tommy Up better hope that the baby PYTs fare better than the sad, sad Freshii across from the CP offices that was a running joke with staffers until it closed this fall.
The above image is from that time that Fox and Friends devoted a segment to the Twinkie Burger.
