After having more than a few wonderful breakfasts and lunches at High Street on Market (308 Market St), Team Meal Ticket has been eagerly awaiting the day that the High Street crew was going to roll out dinner service. Well folks, it looks like tonight is the night.
Chef Eli Kulp and company have the menus ready to go and doors are opening tonight at 5:30 p.m. Evenings at High Street are going to be a less formal than dinner next-door at Fork but the menu is equally, if not more thrilling. Beginning with Kulp's incredible bread program, the menu is filled with inventive pastas like jerk eggplant agnolotti with caramelized goat yogurt and seaweed bucatini with lobster bottarga and scallions, small plates like foie-topped potted shrimp and lamb tartare with anchovy and smoked artichokes.
Beverages are hand picked from small production breweries and vineyards and cocktails are bottled in-house and pastry chef Sam Kincaid is handling the dessert side of things.
Having sung the praises of Fork and High Street's daytime offings more times than we'd care to admit, both on blog and off, you could say that, yes, we're more than a little excited about dinner at High Street on Market.
