Since we're pretty much obligated to keep you posted on all things Cheu Noodle Bar (255 S. 10th St.) related we thought we'd tell you about a few new items on their lunch menu beginning today.
Co-owner Shawn Darragh is telling us that chef Ben Puchowitz is gearing up for fall with a duck pho with foie gras meatballs rice noodles and all of the appropriate fixins', a coconut curry with squash, broccoli and a peanut sambal (!!!) and the new addition that we're the most stoked about - crispy rice cakes with mapo tofu and pork shoulder.
Cheu serves lunch from noon to 2 p.m. every day besides Tuesday and Sunday. Here's a look at the full menu:
Dumplings in chili oil (ask your server)
CHeU Fries – miso truffle aioli, shaved bonito
Broccoli – vietnamese sausage, peanut, soy
Black Garlic Wings – shishito peppers, cilantro, lime
Fish & Chips – smoked fish ribs, CHeU fries
BBQ Pork & Kimchi Burrito
Cold Sesame – cucumbers, seaweed, cilantro
Add: pork belly
Coconut Curry - squash, broccoli, peanut sambal
Miso Ramen – pork shoulder, egg, sea beans, black garlic
Brisket – matzo ball, kimchi, sesame chili broth
Hand Torn – lamb neck, pickled mustard greens, dates
