Editor's Note: Welcome to Dinner and a Show, a new column where tell you where to eat before and/or after the show that we're going to. On tonight's bill we've got New Order and Holy Ghost at The Mann.
The Mann is in a part of town where we never go. Okay, well, not never, but pretty much only when we're going to go see, say, Animal Collective, Belle and Sebastian some other notable act. Tonight New Order is playing and we've got a few suggestions about where to eat before we spiral into a Bizarre Love Triangle.
Le Cochon Noir (5070 Parkside Ave,) is walking distance and if you're up for barbecue it's not a bad option, the ribs are solid and they have their own radio station.
But we're thinking that La Calaca Feliz (2321 Fairmount Ave.) is the way to go. Sure you're going to have to drive from Fairmount to whatever neighborhood The Mann is in (Wynnefield? Overbrook?) but c'mon, serious margaritas, ceviche and bone marrow with black beans is kind of the prefect pregame for this show.
