We have to admit that we're not the most stoked about summer coming to an end but when we heard that September was National Bourbon Heritage Month things got a little sunnier.
The bourbon loving folks at The Twisted Tail (509 S. 2nd St.) are celebrating all month long with a series of flights and distiller hosted pairing dinners inspired by the Kentucky tipple. Of course they're not limiting the celebration to bourbon, be on the lookout for ryes and wheat and white whiskeys as well.
The bourbon party kicks off tonight with Pennsylvania distilled Dad's Hat Rye flights (sample rye, vermouth-aged and white whiskey for $15) followed by a Wednesday meet and greet with founders Herman Mihalich and John Cooper.
Be on the lookout for Heaven Hill, Bulliet and Woodford Reserve making appearances throughout the month of September,
